Patriot's Day
It's time to pause and remember. Today marks the 21st anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attacks in New York City, Washington DC, and Shanksville , PA, that left almost 3000 people dead. The death toll continues to rise for those worked at Ground Zero in the aftermath of the attacks and who succumbed to cancer related illnesses. Twenty-one years later in the midst of a pandemic and divisive politics, we seem to have lost our sense of unity as a nation. In honoring the spirit of 9/11, we not only need to remember those who died, but we also need to remember how we mourned and how we worked together as a nation.
